For more than 30 years, Mitsunaga & Associates, Inc. With a combined staff of more than 95 experienced and highly respected team members, Mitsunaga & Associates, Inc. has earned a solid reputation as one of Hawaii’s leading professional services firms that delivers high-quality and cost-effective results.

Since 2004, Mitsunaga & Associates has completed more than $800 million in construction related projects. Headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, MAI has a branch office on the island of Kauai and Hawaii and internationally in Seoul, South Korea.

At MAI, an integrated approach to problem solving is utilized. Members of architectural, structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and construction management divisions all participate in the project planning stage and at strategic points during the progress of the work. RECENT PROJECTS:

  1. Ewa Makai Middle School (LEED Silver) – New middle school designed for 1,100 student enrollment
  2. Boys and Girls Club Youth Educational Center (LEED Gold) – New youth center designed for various programs and educational uses.
  3. Kamehameha Middle School Redevelopment – Demolition and redesign of the middle school campus and dormitories.
  4. Kapolei High School – Design of new 50-acre high school campus.
  5. Kapolei Middle School – Design of new 1,200 student middle school campus.
  6. Wailea Fire Station – New two-story, 16,000 square foot fire station facility in Wailea, Maui.
  7. Kaunakakai Fire Station – New $15 million fire station and training facility in Kaunakakai, Molokai.
  8. Kapolei State Office Building - New six-story, 216,000 square foot office facility to accommodate 1,000 state employees.
  9. Maryknoll Community Center – New $17 million community center and gymnasium designed for a seating capacity of 1,500 people.
  10. Kaupakalua Reservoir – Design of new 0.5 million gallon reservoir, access road, controls and appurtenances.
  11. Kailua 272 Reservoir – Design of new 4.0 million gallon concrete, post-tensioned reservoir.
  12. Kamehameha Highway, Kokololio Bridge – Replacement of Kokololio Stream bridge, including construction of a detour road.
  13. Makakilo Interchange Rehabilitation – Reconstruction of two east bound interchange ramps.
  14. Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor Floating Dock Replacements – Replacement of floating docks and utility services.
  15. Manoa Multi-Purpose Facility and Gymnasium – New 30,000 square foot community center and gymnasium at Manoa District Park.
  16. Wilder Vista - New eight-story, 55-unit apartment complex.
  17. Kalakaua Vista – New 80-unit mid-rise apartment complex.

MM International, LLC

MM International LLC (MMI) is a subsidiary company of Mitsunaga & Associates, Inc. MMI was established in 2001 as one of three Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Contractors for the Army Corps of Engineers, Far East District located in Seoul, South Korea. As a SOFA contractor, we are tasked with all the military design work in South Korea, which includes Planning & Charrettes; Development of RFP Design Build Documents (Criteria Packages); Design Drawings; Specifications; and Cost Estimating.
